DG-DCORE-DR01-MIMO - 5G Railway Router

The DCORE-DR01-MIMO is a powerful stand-alone high reliability 4x4 MIMO 5G Train EDGE Gateway Router with a dedicated LINUX application processor capable of independently executing Client Services. This DR01 router variant is completely fucntionally compatible with the DG-DCORE-DR01-R.

This device combines the functions of an EDGE gateway computer with a HW accelerated dedicated WRT router core, which directly manages the 5G modem. Separate processors are used for application software and the WRT Linux router to improve performance and enable easier software development. The application processor directly connects to the core router with an internal Ethernet interface. This enables independent upgrading of application layer software services without the need to touch the Layer 3 routing core software.

The figure below illustrates the DCORE-DR01-MIMO in a typical coach PIS modernisation solution.

PID

The small footprint DCORE-DR01-MIMO is ideal for upgrade programs due to its small size and support for project specific firmware adaptations. Train location is based on an IMU supported high sensitivity ADR GNSS subsystem. The 5G modem is based on the latest Qualcomm SDX65 chipset, which supports UL and DL MIMO using n40 and n78 bands. Standard RJ45 connectors are used for the Ethernet interfaces.

The router features a soldered down GNSS subsystem with UDR support for installation cases where limited satellite coverage is available. The UDR based positioning can reliably navigate underground or in poor satellite signal conditions assisted by the IMU based sensor data.

Duragon can supply a suitable railway compliant antenna with 2x2 MIMO 5G and GNSS. Ina 4x4 MIMO solution two such antennas would be used.

DG-PID32-R - Intelligent 32" Full-HD 16:9 LCD Train PID

OVERVIEW:

DG-PID32-R is a rugged stand-alone Intelligent Railway Passenger Information Display for train, metro and tram applications which require high service reliability and easy integration with other onboard systems. The PID32-R bases on a 6-core 64 bit ARM CPU, which includes Duragon’s proprietary firmware and graphiics applciation platform. The intelligent display can deliver media content combining live video and animations with static or changing images on the HD resolution display. Route and operational service information can be combined with rich media content.

TCMS data integration can be done using Ethernet, MVB or RS-485. The PID32-R does not require a coach PID Server PC; it can operate autonomously controlled by the train operational data. This capability is ideal for modernization and upgrading projects. Multiple PID32-R display units can be connected in a master-slaves configuration where the master connects to the TCMS while slaves connect to the master over RS-485. Local storage is used to store media content, which can be updated under the control of the main PIS server at the depot over WiFi. A PID32-R master device can include an internal 3G/LTE modem for system service and management access.

The Duragon PID-R series displays can be powered directly from the 110VDC power rail of the train. A proprietary multi-stage protection and filtering circuitry is designed to exceed the requirements of EMC and immunity standards.

Duragon Systems can provide customization services which can include engineering, production and certification. Available are different LCD sizes ranging from 28" to 48", enclosure solutions as well as project specific functionalities or SW interfaces to other onboard systems.

DG-PID32-B - Intelligent 32" Full-HD 16:9 LCD PID

OVERVIEW:

DG-PID32-B is a rugged purpose-built stand-alone Intelligent Passenger Information Display for public bus applications, which require high reliability and easy integration with other in-vehicle systems. The PID32-B features a low power 6-core ARM SOC or ATOM-class CPU with either ready-configured LINUX or Android OS. The intelligent display can deliver rich media content combining video, animations with static or changing images on an HD-resolution display. Route and operational service information can be combined with HD advertising or media content.

Integration with other onboard systems can use Ethernet connecting the display to a vehcile gateway router such as the DURION-DR01 or ER01. A maintenence USB port is available as well as an optional RS-485 port.

The display brightness can be controled automatically or through software settings.

The Duragon PID-series displays connect directly to the vehicle's 24VDC power. A proprietary multi-stage active protection and filtering circuitry is designed to exceed the requirements of in-vehicle EMC and immunity standards.
