Ultra Bright IP-Connected Rail LED Destination Display

Bangkok - November 10th, 2020 - The latest product launch from Duragon Systems includes a Non-Multiplexed high brightness IP-connected LED railway destination/information display. This LED control scheme will take full advantage of the luminosity of the 1000cd/m2 brightness 590nm wavelength LED chips. As there is no row scanning, data is statically latched to the row drivers controlling each LED. This modular display consistes of modules with 16 x 32 LEDs with 8mm H/V pitch. Each module includes its own 50W power supply to ensure high quality power disrtribution through the multi-module LED matrix.

The DG-EL16128P8I-R destination display includes 10/100Mbit Ethernet and RS-485 host interfaces. The input power supply range is 9-36VDC. The onboard 32-bit CORTEX-M3 controller includes firmware for multilingual text (Indian languages, Thai and English) and arbitrary bitmaps for mandarin language display. The display supports zoning with text effects. The dedicated automotive application LED sink drivers include independent LED component diagnostics. Display brightness can be controlled 0-100%, ambient light detection is supported using a photodiode, which is not sensitive to the wavelength of the display LEDs.

Duragon takes the lead in integration of 5G in Railway Systems

Bangkok - October 8th, 2020 - Duragon Systems will integrate the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ SDX55 5G Modem-RF SoC into its systems portflio. This Qualcomm modem chipset can work standalone or connecting to a Linux application processor using USB 3.0 interface. Integration of the SDX55 modem directly onto the system board will enable the full use of internal resources and interfaces of this SoC. 5G-connectivity with GNSS and High speed WiFi will be available as an option for all railway systems controllers starting in Q1/2021. Dedicated Linux firmware executing on the internal CORTEX A7 processor of the SoC will enable transparent device management in eSIM based globally connected multi-operator profile solutions. Furthermore, Duragon will be able to offer 5G-connected light-EDGE devices, where the the SDX55 internal CORTEX A7 boot processor will also operate as the application processor executing software from the internal 4GB NAND Flash.

Duragon Systems to Showcase New Ethernet Connected PID at Innotrans 2018

Launched at the 2018 Innotrans exhibition, the DG-PID32E-R intelligent IP-connected full HD-resolution railway passenger information display seamless connects to the Quasar railway gateway creating a scalable and high performance on-board information system. Interfacing with MVB TCMS or IEC 62439-3 redundant Ethernet, the Quasar gateway connects multiple downstream DG-PID32E-R using a series-connected 10/100Mbit Ethernet. Each PID includes a managed Ethernet switch with two external ports and safety device bypass relays. Ethernet based operational data is used to control the display and its media delivery. The DURION fully integarated BUS-PC has received a technology upgrade to further enahance its features and enable processor scaling.
