DURION-DR01 Integrated Computer and Sub 6GHz 5G MIMO Railway/Bus Router

Berlin - September 22nd, 2022 - Launched at the INNOTRANS 2022 event in Berlin, the DURION-DR01 enables onboard railway systems to seamlessly migrate to support the latest 5G MIMO technology. Built around a multiprocessor architecture, the DR01 uniquely combines a Quad Core Linux ARM application processor, dedicated Layer 3 routing processor and an embedded CORTEX M0 microcontroller. The core router connects to the application processor with an internal Ethernet interface and to the 5G-modem using USB3.0. Four Gbit Ethernet ports are available for external connectivity.

The core router bases on a dedicated WRT-Linux, with support for device and modem management. Router VPN, VLAN, Firewall and Link settings are configurable using a Web-based LUCY interface.

The DURION-DR01 includes a ADR or UDR GNSS subsystem, which can connect to an external wheeltick speed signal or use speed data of the J1939 vehicle CAN bus. Such an RTK assisted navigation solution enables navigation in urban canyon, covered terminals or underground tunnels with high accuracy. Other interfaces include dual RS-485, RS-232, Audio I/O and general-purpose digital outputs. Both uSIM and soldered down eSIM are supported.

Designed in an ultra-compact extruded aluminium case, the DURION-DR01 is ideal for vehicle upgrade programs which require routing and applications software. The application processor can interface to onboard systems such as passenger counters, preprocess data and use MQTT to connect to back-end systems. Due to its multiprocessor architecture, the application processor can execute any user software independently of the WRT Router making application development easier.

DCORE-DR01-MIMO Integrated Computer and Sub 6GHz 5G MIMO Railway Router

Bangkok - November 7th, 2022 - The DCORE-DR01-MIMO is now available with 4x4 MIMO support. The system is fucntionally and software compatible with the DG-DCORE-DR01. This version of the router includes four FAKRA antenna connectors. An EN50155 and EN62373 compliant 5G MIMO/GNSS antenna is also available. The DG-DCORE-DR01-MIMO supports 4X4 MIMO (DL) on most global bands, but can support MIMO 2X2 (UL) on n40 and n78 bands, which are widely used in Europe for private 5G networks.

This router bases on a dedicated WRT-Linux, with support for device and modem management. Router VPN, VLAN, Firewall and Link settings are configurable using a Web-based LUCY interface.

The DCORE-DR01-MIMO includes a UDR GNSS subsystem, which enables navigation of the train in challenging conditions in covered statiuon areas.Other interfaces include dual RS-485, RS-232, Audio I/O and general-purpose digital outputs. Both uSIM and soldered down eSIM are supported.

This router targets metro/tram/train upgrade programs which require EDGE connectivity to 5G private networks with maximum bandwidth. The device is certified to EN50155, EN50121, EN61373 and EN45545-2.

Duragon Systems to Showcase New Ethernet Connected PID at Innotrans 2018

Launched at the 2018 Innotrans exhibition, the DG-PID32E-R intelligent IP-connected full HD-resolution railway passenger information display seamless connects to the Quasar railway gateway creating a scalable and high performance on-board information system. Interfacing with MVB TCMS or IEC 62439-3 redundant Ethernet, the Quasar gateway connects multiple downstream DG-PID32E-R using a series-connected 10/100Mbit Ethernet. Each PID includes a managed Ethernet switch with two external ports and safety device bypass relays. Ethernet based operational data is used to control the display and its media delivery. Welcome to discuss your project and to meet us at Booth 437 in Hall 3.1.

Duragon takes the lead in integration of 5G in Railway Systems

Bangkok - October 8th, 2020 - Duragon Systems will integrate the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ SDX55 5G Modem-RF SoC into its systems portflio. This Qualcomm modem chipset can work standalone or connecting to a Linux application processor using USB 3.0 interface. Integration of the SDX55 modem directly onto the system board will enable the full use of internal resources and interfaces of this SoC. 5G-connectivity with GNSS and High speed WiFi will be available as an option for all railway systems controllers starting in Q1/2021. Dedicated Linux firmware executing on the internal CORTEX A7 processor of the SoC will enable transparent device management in eSIM based globally connected multi-operator profile solutions. Furthermore, Duragon will be able to offer 5G-connected light-EDGE devices, where the the SDX55 internal CORTEX A7 boot processor will also operate as the application processor executing software from the internal 4GB NAND Flash.

Hong Kong - Bangkok, November 9th, 2017 – Dragontech Systems, a leading provider of systems and integrated solutions for bus and railway transportation has been selected to supply the onboard infotainment system for city buses operated by BMTC, Bangalore Metro Transport Company.
