DG-PID32E-R - Intelligent Ethernet connected 32" Full-HD Train PID

DG-PID32E-R is a rugged purpose-built stand-alone high-reliability IP-connected Intelligent Passenger Information Display for tram and train applications. The DG-PID32E-R bases on a low power 6-core ARM CPU, which includes Duragon's proprietary firmware. This high performance Linux Application processor CPU can deliver rich media content combining HD video streams, animations and static or changing images on the HD-resolution display. Route and operational service information can be combined with media and advertising content.

Integration with train systems can use Ethernet or RS-485. The DG-PID32E-R based dynamic route map system can connect to a vehicle MVB gateway controller such as the Quasar over Ethernet. The internal Ethernet switch and bypassing relays enable series connected displays throughout the train. The bypass relays will disconnect any un-powered or faulty device automatically, ensuring that network integrity is maintained. This scheme reduces wiring and Ethernet switches. Media is not streamed over the Ethernet, only command and control information is sent downstream from the vehicle gateway. Content is stored locally, and can be updated over Ethernet. The DG-PID32E-R includes Service USB and Ethernet interfaces for system service and maintenence access.

Functionality is optimized in the DG-PID32E-R intelligent display. A high brightness and contrast LCD-display supports full HD-resolution. The proprietary single control board bases on a 6-core 2GHz ARM media and graphics CPU, supervised by a microcontroller, which manages all the displays functionality including safe power on-off, secure booting, as well as voltage and temperature monitoring and event logging.

The Duragon DG-PIDE-R series displays can be powered directly from the 110VDC power rail of the train. A proprietary multi-stage protection and filtering circuitry is designed to exceed the requirements of EMC and immunity standards. This proprietary power supply design is compliant to EN60950-1.

DG-EL16128P8-R - 16 X 128 LED Passenger Information Display

The DG-EL16128P8-R is a rugged LED passenger information display targeting metro, train and tram installations. This display is purpose-built for railway applications with a wide 8-38VDC input range power supply. The LED chip resolution is 8mm in horizontal and vertical direction.

The display is based on a 32-bit CORTEX-M3 microcontroller with dedicated firmware, which can be customized to meet the specific requirement of each project, including custom graphics elements and language support. Error and diagnostic codes can be used to monitor the health of the display and its correct operation. Furthermore, the electrical parameters of each LED can be checked to detect open connection, short to ground or short to supply.

Constant current LED sink drivers are used to drive high brightness SMD LED chip components to increase the reliability and ruggedness of the display. The LED matrix brightness can be controlled from 0 to 100% under software control or based on ambient lighting conditions. The display base is black for improving contrast. The LED area is covered by a laminated tamper proof safety glass.
